Today we head down from 9000 feet as we progress through the Carson National Forest. By the time we arrive in Amarillo we will have come down to 3500 feet. After we pass through the Cimarron Canyon State Park we head towards Texas.

Entering Texas we cross our second time zone and it is suddenly 1 hour later. Texas is pretty empty but we should be able to burn up the miles as we get to AmarilloSo tonight we get to eat in The Big Texan, and it also happens to be Linda, one of the ladies in the truck’s birthday. So we can celebrate in style I am sure.
