Day 18 - Mon 26th Sept - Bryson City to Blowing Rock
Great Smoky Mountains National Park
Today starts as yesterday finished, riding the Dragon. One last ride along this amazing road before we head towards Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. From Gatlinburg we journey along the Newfound Gap Road . This is one of the most scenic roads in the Smoky Mountains. As we turn off the 441 before Cherokee we start at the souther point of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Only 469 miles to the other end.Hotel and Weather

All along the BRP there are places to take photographs. It is going to be a matter of stopping where you would like, then we all meet at the break points. Each bend seems to have a car park with an overlook to enjoy. We take a step away as we go around Asheville but then it is back to the BRP and it’s easy riding. There is a speed limit of 45mph. So people do have the choice of taking the less scenic route. One of the reasons I am doing this trip is to ride this road. So see you where I see you :)
